Port Fairy SUP Introduction Lessons

Our new ‘Introduction to Stand-Up Paddleboarding’ lessons are specially designed for adults and kids 10 years and older and are conducted in the sheltered corner of Little East Beach. SUP is fun, easy, scenic, and the BEST way to explore Port Fairy’s beaches!

If you or your kids are wanting to try stand up paddleboarding for the first time in a fun, safe environment, this is the lesson for you!

Our Introduction to SUP lessons in Port Fairy are conducted in the sheltered corner of Little East Beach, using soft beginner boards which are lightweight and safe. Meet on Port Fairy’s East Beach at Battery Lane, end of Griffiths St.

What to Bring

Paddleboarders need to wear a swimsuit or boardies and sunscreen, bring a towel, and leave your best sunnies at home; they sink! Don’t forget a camera to document the fun you will have.

What is Provided

Our equipment is the best available on the market and produced specifically for surf schools. We use soft, stable boards that are easy to balance on, paddle, stand, and surf on for beginners. We provide you with a coloured rash vest so we can easily identify participants in the water. We also have life vests available.


Meet on Port Fairy’s East Beach at the end of Battery Lane where we will get you fitted with the right equipment and go through the techniques and safety aspects of SUP. We then enter the calm protected water get comfortable standing and paddling the board before learning the correct paddle, turning, and beach start techniques. There are no bathrooms at this location.
