* Booking: The calendar shows the first day of the program in GREEN. The program will be for 2 or 3 consecutive days from this start day. You don’t need to book the other days. Example: a three day program that starts on the 13th Jan with run 13th, 14th & 15th. You just book the 13th.

The Program

Join our kids and teens surfing program at the best surf school in Port Fairy and Warrnambool for two or three fun-filled days of surf lessons. Our surf school offers comprehensive surfing classes where you’ll learn essential skills for paddling correctly, getting to your feet, and riding waves with good technique. Our surf coaching also includes surf safety, ocean awareness, and surfing rules. You’ll progress by catching more waves, getting to your feet efficiently, surfing with the correct stance, and riding waves consistently. By the end of the program, you’ll feel more confident in the surf and see significant improvement in your skills.

What to Expect

1. Arrival: Arrive at the beach in Port Fairy or Warrnambool at your designated start time with your swimwear on.
2. Introduction: Your coach will introduce themselves and provide you with a wetsuit and surfboard hire.
3. Beach Instruction: Start with beach-based technique training and surf safety information. We emphasize getting it right on the beach to prepare you for hitting the waves.
4. Surf Session: Enter the surf in waist-deep water with waves suitable for your ability. Our surf coaches will help you get up and riding by pushing you into waves, giving feedback on your technique, ensuring your safety, and maximizing your fun.
5. Feedback: Surfers will leave the water approximately 15 minutes before the lesson ends for a feedback session. You’ll receive goals for your next surf lesson before getting changed.

What is Provided

• Equipment: All equipment is provided, including surfboards suited to your abilities. We use the best equipment available on the market, specifically produced for surf schools. Our soft, stable boards are easy to balance, paddle, stand, and surf on for both intermediate and beginner surfers.
• Wetsuits and Rash Vests: Quality Rip Curl and Quiksilver wetsuits will keep you warm, and our colored GO Surf School rash vests make it easy to identify you in the water.

What to Bring

Surfers need to wear a swimsuit or boardies and bring a towel and plenty of sunscreen. Don’t forget a camera to document the fun you’ll have at our Port Fairy and Warrnambool surf school.
